SINGAPORE - Mental
healthcare professionals can now download a free e-book containing the best
practices and treatments for youths with mental conditions, The Straits Times
reported.
The online resource also contains related links to other
resources and recordings of interviews with real-life sufferers of mental
health conditions.
The book, a collaborative work between 102 experts from
24 countries, can be downloaded from the website of International Association
for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions.
The link can be accessed at http://iacapap.org/iacapap-textbook-of-child-and-adolescent-mental-health
.
The book is the latest work of the organisation which
reflects the commitment of IACAPAP to make knowledge about Child and Adolescent
Mental Health (CAMH) widely available, whilst advocating for access to quality
CAMH care globally, said Olayinka Omigbodun, President of IACAPAP.
Mr Omigbodun added that the resource will be updated
regularly and aims to be culturally sensitive.
